RPLA sprang to popularity if they starred with an unlikely front cover of the united kingdom rock bible Kerrang! newspaper, who advertised them being a ‘Pretty Guy’ music group comparable to Poison and Mötley Crüe. Shortly following this appearance they surfaced using a different picture and accepted that these were a ‘homosexual’ rock-band. While this will have produced no difference in any way it knocked the macho steel press off its stride and instantly the rave write-ups and gig testimonials disappeared, using the music group suffering because of this. They became the main topic of a information item on UK tv about sexism/homophobia in rock and roll and Kerrang! had been designated.
