Sneakster

Previously the frontman for the pioneering indie electronics act Seefeel, Mark Clifford returned to some (nominally) band environment in 1999 using the Sneakster project. A cooperation with vocalist Sophie Hinkley, Sneakster started when the set fulfilled at London’s Dairy Bar and began writing music collectively. Bella Union released the Splinters EP in 1999, and Sneakster’s debut recording, Pseudo-Nouveau, followed later on that summer season. The American launch, issued twelve months later on, also included an added bonus EP of remixes by Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins.
