4 Out of 5 Doctors

Washington, DC-based, brand-new influx/power pop clothing 4 Out of 5 Doctors shaped in the later ’70s across the abilities of guitarist/keyboardist Jeff Severson, guitarist George Pittaway, bassist/vocalist Cal Everett, and drummer Tom Ballew. Though they just documented two albums, an eponymous 1980 debut and 1982’s Second Opinion, the music group’s penchant for pairing immaculately created, hook-filled electric guitar/key pad pop (Madness, the Vehicles) with inventive preparations (Press, XTC) earned them a little but devoted pursuing. Disappointed by a business that relentlessly attempted to market them as a difficult rock clothing, the group officially disbanded in 1984, but their group of fans never lost wish. In 2008, both of their albums managed to get to CD in the two-disc collection Reconstructed, as well as the group reunited for a small number of shows, culminating within a farewell efficiency in July 2010.
