Young Flowers

Often cited among the first proper psychedelic rock bands to emerge in Denmark through the 1960s, Young Flowers were a blues-based power trio whose music was intensely influenced simply by Cream as well as the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Teen Flowers had been produced in Copenhagen in 1967 by guitarist Jens Dahl and drummer Ken Gudman, both previous associates from the Defenders, and bassist and vocalist Peter Ingemann, who previously caused Seven Sounds. Peer Frost continued to try out with Midnight Sunlight as well as the Savage Rose, while Ken Gudman became a member of Culpepper’s Orchard and Peter Ingemann performed without Name. Adolescent Flowers’ recognition and historic importance resulted in a steady blast of reissues and archival released in Denmark, and in 2012 the English RPM label released Take Caution: THE ENTIRE Studio Recordings.
