Year Future

A noise-oriented punk music group with some artsy experimental tendencies, 12 months Long term leavens their screamo attack with unpredicted components like heavy dub basslines and gothy key pad textures, with affects which range from Fugazi and early Sonic Youth to General public Picture Ltd. and Deceased May Dance. Something of the post-hardcore supergroup, 12 months Future is usually led by vocalist and lyricist Sonny Kay, previously of Angel Locks as well as the VSS as well as the owner from the estimable Platinum Regular Labs label, house from the Mars Volta as well as others. Kay created Year Potential in 2003 with guitarist Rocky Crane (previously of Creeps on Chocolate and Deceased & Eliminated), drummer Jim Andersen (Chat Is usually Poison, the Design), and bassist Sam Ott. THE ENTIRE YEAR Future EP premiered by the end of 2003, accompanied by the more refined The Hidden Submit nov 2004. Before the begin of classes for 12 months Future’s full-length debut, Ott and Andersen remaining the band, ultimately changed by bassist Pete Lyman (Living Technology Basis) and drummer Chris Hathwell, who splits his time taken between Year Long term and his personal music group, the moody post-punk clothing Moving Models. Hathwell’s additional commitments, Kay’s label responsibilities, and a complete tour slate postponed the documenting and launch of 12 months Future’s debut recording, First Globe Fever, until Might 2006.
