Fury in the Slaughterhouse was Germany’s most popular rock-band for two years, selling a lot more than four mil albums because of a marketable mixture of metallic, post-grunge, and industrial rock and roll. When the group got an indefinite hiatus in 2008, brothers Kai Uwe Wingenfelder and Thorsten Wingenfelder briefly pursued their personal tasks before teaming up once more to create the rock and roll duo wingenfelder:Wingenfelder. Besser zu Zweit, the group’s 1st album, premiered in 2011.
