Wilma

The rock trio Wilma includes singer/bassist Amy Marshall, guitarist Johnny Marshall, and drummer Paul Lobel and includes a sound not unlike such ’80s female-fronted alternative bands as the B-52’s, Blondie, the Pretenders, as well as the Divinyls. The band’s origins place in the obscure Dallas, TX, music group Butch, including both Amy and Johnny and shaped in 1993, leading to quite a mix on the neighborhood scene. However they strived for the big style, and quickly a proceed to NEW YORK was organized in 1995. Starting up quickly thereafter with Lobel, the music group discovered a kindred musical heart in manufacturer Jerry Halatyn, who had taken the fledgling music group under his wing and provides since overseen the band’s recordings. 1998 noticed the discharge of Wilma’s self-titled debut, that was implemented up a calendar year later using the sophomore work A bit of Function, issued over the group’s self-owned label, Circling Buzzard Information. October 2001 noticed the discharge of their third record, Rock the Container.
