White Hex

An Australian duo taking motivation in the most sinister and doomily intimate elements of post-punk, synth pop, and coldwave, Light Hex features Tara Green and Jimi Kritzler, also of fiery post-punk revivalists Slug Guts. The group produced in 2011, when Green and Kritzler — who acquired known one another since their teenage times — discovered themselves at Brisbane at exactly the same time and began producing music. After a stint in Egypt, the set discovered themselves in Berlin, where they documented their brooding debut mini-album High temperature; it had been released in 2012 with the Western european label AVANT, and afterwards with the Australian imprint Nihilistic Orbs. Kritzler and Green came back with their homeland, this time around settling in Melbourne, and started working on songs. Motivated by Italo disco, high style, and ’80s techno, among other activities, Light Hex collaborated with manufacturer Alex Akers on Silver Nights, a modern set of music released by Felte Information in middle-2014.
