Victor Mendoza

b. c. 1955, Mexico. As a little child Mendoza examined flute before switching to percussion. He relocated to the united states quickly before he inserted his teens, learning music education and orchestral percussion at North Arizona University and he visited Berklee University Of Music. After graduation from Berklee, in 1983 he joined up with the faculty. Since that time he did other teaching function including worldwide get good at classes, among which were periods at leading music academies in the united kingdom. He in addition has released an educational Dvd movie, Latin Jazz Grooves. Furthermore to regular shows in clubs with concerts, Mendoza in addition has appeared on tv in america, including PBS’s, Victor Mendoza In Concert, and he also documented for BBC Tv in the united kingdom. Another UK appearance was at the Tempo Sticks ’98 Celebration at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall. He also made an appearance as visitor soloist using the Carlos Chávez Symphony Orchestra through the Event Internacional de Percusiones in Mexico Town, in Prague using the Mila Svoboda Orchestra, and with the Globe Event Orchestra beneath the path of Paquito D’Rivera. Among additional music artists with whom Mendoza spent some time working are Michel Camilo, Horacio ‘Un Negro’ Hernández, Giovanni Hidalgo, Alain Mallet, Danilo Pérez and Claudio Roditi. Mendoza in addition has recorded several dates as innovator.
