Angelit

Formerly referred to as girls Of Angeli, Angelit has taken the musical traditions from the Sami (Laplanders or Lapps) folks of northern Finland towards the international stage. Using the vocal harmonies of Ursula and Tunni Lansman arranged to basic drum rhythms and Kimmo Kajasto’s digital keyboards, Angelit have a modern method of the original joik-songs and tales. Although the initial group centered on acapella performing, Angelit has included rock and roll, rap and techno-beats. The Lansman sisters primarily attracted interest in 1982 if they performed using a loosely-knit youngsters band of six women and one youngster. Inspired with the response they received because of their efficiency at a Sami celebration, the Lansman became a member of with vocalist Ulla Pirttjarvi to create a more significant group. The ensemble’s debut documenting was a noncommercial Xmas tape that they distributed to Mari Boine. Using the tragic loss of life of a music group member within an car crash, in 1989, the music group assumed the name Women Of Angeli. Following discharge of their initial commercially-distributed record, Dolla, in 1992, Pirttjarvi still left the group as well as the Lansmans continuing being a duo . In 1997, the music group was renamed Angelit. Furthermore to their very own albums, the Lansman sisters had been highlighted on two albums by hard rock-band, Waltari — Therefore Great and Big Music group.
