Until June

The roots towards the warm, piano-peppered pop/rock songs of Until June were sown in Phoenix, when brothers Josh and Dan Ballard (vocals/piano and guitar, respectively) began writing songs jointly in senior high school. Acquiring influence from famous brands Ben Folds and Coldplay — and just a couple years aside in age group — their musical cooperation continued into university at Arizona Condition University, as different bassists and drummers emerged and went as time passes. The guys documented their initial EP in 2000 and proved helpful the record hard locally and through outside mailings, which ultimately earned a contact from a significant label. Though nothing at all ultimately came from the encounter, it prompted the brothers’ beliefs in their tracks, and they made a decision to toss everything that they had to their music. The Ballards hence moved to LA, but over time — and despite all of the region gigs, shameless self-promotion, and extended hours functioning jobs among — they still didn’t possess much showing for their initiatives. It had been make or break period. With drummer Daniel Dempsey finally completing the music group in Apr 2005, they established an individual deadline of either obtaining agreed upon by that June or which was it (this self-imposed time period limit made for a good little music group name aswell). As good fortune could have it, simply because the deadline was nearing, Until June have scored a cope with Tennessee-based Christian label Flicker Information, which soon later on became a subsidiary of Sony/BMG. A three-song EP consequently led nicely in to the Apr 2007 appearance of Until June’s self-titled debut record.
