After issuing two albums and an EP of mainly acoustic work beneath the moniker the Lyndsay Diaries, Scott Windsor further embraced his indie pop side with a fresh project, Umbrellas. Collaborating with numerous studio music artists — including Chad Copelin, Nathan Cost, and Eric Arndt — Umbrellas debuted in springtime 2005 using a self-titled assortment of relaxing and powerful pop music. Made by Ed Rose, the record was issued with the Militia Group, exactly the same label Windsor caused for the Lyndsay Diaries. Large touring implemented in support (with different support members than in the documenting), as several tracks discovered their method onto hit Television shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Alias. Retiring for an discontinued Oklahoma comedy membership during an onslaught of tornado activity, Umbrellas documented their sophomore work in just fourteen days. Illuminare made an appearance in July 2006, and highlighted the Umbrellas staff being joined up with by Adam McAlister (Pedro the Lion, Sufjan Stevens) and Ryan Lindsey (the Starlight Mints) within the studio. The summertime was subsequently allocated to the road countrywide with labelmates Brandtson.
