Tomato Box

The experimental jazz quartet Tomato Box is led by founder/drummer Michael Brenneis, who formed the group in 1999. A indigenous of Boston, Brenneis discovered his device from renowned jazz drummer Alan Dawson and consequently worked within the studio room with such performers as Benny Weinbeck, Teodross Avery, Doug Small of the Movement Poets, Kelly DeHaven, Hanah Jon Taylor, the Moon Gypsies, the Ed Anders Quartet, as well as the Erica Mather Trio. Becoming a member of Brenneis in Tomato Package is definitely Anders Svanoe (clarinet, alto, bari), Geoff Brady (marimba, percussion), and Henry Boehm (bass). The group released its debut recording, Let’s Hear It, in 2001 (on Rattle Tick Hype Records).
