A single vehicle for singer/songwriter and ex-Cadillac Sky frontman Bryan Simpson, the Whistles & the Bells focus on an evocative mixture of Southern folk, gritty alt-country, and indie gospel, invoking titles like Wovenhand, Jason Isbell, Support Moriah, and Blitzen Trapper.
