The Weather Girls

The Weather Young ladies, Martha Clean and Izora Armstead, began within the gospel group NOW (Information of the Globe) before they truly became backup singers for Sylvester within the ’70s. They produced the duo Two Loads o’ Fun (aka both Loads), and released a set of albums — which highlighted three charting singles — on Harvey Fuqua’s Fantasy-affiliated Honey label. They eventually transformed their name to the elements Girls and documented for Columbia, where that they had their most significant achievement with “It’s Raining Guys.” That 1982 one peaked the next calendar year; it topped Billboard’s membership graph and crossed in to the Sizzling hot 100, where it reached amount 46. Wash continuing as a single artist and program vocalist and was the business lead tone of voice on “You’re My Only (REAL LOVE)” by Seduction, “Everybody Everybody” by Dark Container, and “Gonna CAUSE YOU TO Perspiration (Everybody Dance Today)” by C&C Music Stock.
