Shaped in Melbourne, Australia in 1976, the Sports activities presented Steve Cummings (lead vocals) Martin Armiger (guitar), Andrew Pendlebury (guitar), Jim Niven (keyboards/vocals), Robert Glover (bass) and Paul Hutchins (drums). Affected by rock and roll, rockabilly, nation and new influx, the band documented several beautiful pop tracks in the brand new influx design which charted well, especially in Melbourne. Country wide success adopted but because the unique members remaining the band got less effect. After assisting Graham Parker on his tour of Australia during 1978, the Sports activities were asked to tour with him in European countries and England. Information had been released but didn’t create a big effect in either European countries or the Areas. They undertook many large trips around Australia, released many more singles as well as the 4th album, but had been no more progressing.
