The Flipsides

Since their first show, Christmas Eve 1999, inside a SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA Haight Street Bar, the Flipsides have already been tearing through rollicking force pop tunes like there is no tomorrow. The group, led by vocalist and guitarist Sabrina Stewart with Tag Bradin on bass and Jim Lindsay on drums, comes after in the footsteps of Elvis Costello by complementing upbeat melodies and explosive riffs with accurate cynicism. The Flipsides infuse their stone using a punk attitude (also pursuing Costello), making them sound similar to bands just like the Eyeliners, however the Flipsides excel most when functioning 60s grooves and Kinks-y pop. After self-releasing a five tune EP, the music group was uncovered by Green & Black Information, who released their debut full-length, Clever One, in July of 2002. Paths on different compilations including Fats Wreck Chords’ Squawk IN OUR MIDST, End Information’ Clear Hearts, Broken Containers and Adeline Information’ Every Pet dog COULD HAVE Its Day implemented later that season.
