Rabbani

A quasi-traditional Malaysia-based nasyid group, Rabbani certainly are a nine-piece group led by vocalist Mohammed Asri Ibrahim. Their 1st recording, a self-titled affair, premiered in 1997. Most widely known like a nasyid group that provides newer musical elements to its music — consequently making it audio less just like a wall structure of percussion — Rabbani released ten even more albums by enough time of 2005’s Suara Takbir. That recording was released like a “contribution” towards the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. They also have released three compilation albums, the newest becoming 2004’s Yalla Beena! Jom! Let’s Proceed!
