The Attractions

A Romford-based music group led by vocalist Dean Maverick, The Attractions were signed to EMI-Columbia in 1966. For factors best known towards the music group and their maker, they dedicated their two singles for the label to hide versions of tracks from the Rolling Rocks (“Stupid Young lady”) as well as the Kinks (“Party Range”), the second option made by the Kinks’ personal Dave Davies, which weren’t poor but also didn’t set the graphs burning. The B-side of their second solitary, nevertheless, wa “She’s A WOMAN,” a reward piece of garage area punk that presented a call-and-response framework for the vocals and acoustic guitar, and an nearly American-style sneer in its attitude. The Destinations (who also billed themselves, at one stage, as The Appeal) had nothing in connection with the Elvis Costello music group of this name.
