LA duo TeamMate produce synthy, emotive, indie-electronic pop. Produced in 2013, TeamMate feature previous Debate vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Scott Simons and previous Big Hurry vocalist/drummer Dani Buncher. Originally, Simons and Buncher fulfilled at Western world Virginia School in the past due ’90s and dated for a decade. During this time period, Simons toured frequently with the Debate and Buncher performed drums in a variety of bands, ultimately basing herself in NY where she also proved helpful for Arista Information. It wasn’t until that they had both relocated to Pittsburgh that Buncher uncovered she was homosexual as well as the couple split up. Subsequently, Simons transferred to LA to pursue a single career. However, instead of driving them aside, the breakup discovered them forging a fresh creative connection. Buncher shortly jumped up to speed as a support drummer for many of Simons’ displays. That resulted in songwriting collaborations online and finally they transformed right into a full-fledged music group with Simons and Buncher explicitly composing songs jointly about their former romantic relationship. In 2013, they released an EP, The Sequel, and Buncher also transferred to LA. Tours implemented, including support slot machine games for OneRepublic, Skylar Gray, yet others. They agreed upon with Rostrum Information and in 2017 shipped the full-length TeamMate, which showcased their yearning, upbeat, ’80s synth pop-influenced audio.
