Team Embassador

Shaped in 2002 in Montclair, NJ, by previous high-school classmates rapper R-DeLeon (Leon Collins) and singer B-Tizzy (Sheldon Maxwell), Group Embassador’s goal was to generate upbeat, all-inclusive music, influenced mostly from the duo’s Caribbean root base (Collins was created in Trinidad, and Maxwell in Jamaica). Following the release from the 1st installment of the Pirates Mixtape, Group Embassador (who described that they changed the “a” of ambassador with an “e” to are a symbol of “everybody”) soon began their very own label, EMB GROUP, to be able to better promote and distribute their music, concentrating mostly within the Western Indies, though their recognition also spread through the entire New York/New Shirt region. With plenty of of a group of fans to make sure them that they had something they might marketplace, R-DeLeon and B-Tizzy started buying their music at main labels, eventually putting your signature on a distribution deal with Lightyear/EMI and liberating Group Embassador’s full-length debut, Program Overload, which mixed soca, reggae, and dancehall with rock and roll and hip-hop, in mid-2007.
