Norwegian black metallic band Taake is usually primarily the task of vocalist and multi-instrumentalist U. Høst, who founded the group in 1993 amid the rash of chapel burnings along with other offences virtually in charge of launching the picture. Recruiting drummer Svartulv, on the next 3 years Høst documented some demos steeped in historic Viking lore and ruthlessly brutal dark metal ideals. Finally debuting commercially in 1996 using the Koldbrann I Jesu Marg E.P. (offering fresh drummer/bassist Tundra), Taake continued release a two full-length albums, 1999’s Nattestid and 2002’s Bjoergvin, before Høst remaining to become listed on fellow Norwegian dark metallers Ragnarok as vocalist.
