Produced while its associates had been still in senior high school, in 1967 the group documented their enduring state to popularity, the self-financed one “Funny Stuff Floating”/”Eight Time Blues; ” valued among today’s enthusiasts as a glowing exemplory case of the era’s garage area audio, the record was pressed within an model of a couple of hundred copies, the majority of that have been either distributed at Special Cherry live schedules or tossed, frisbee-style, off an area hillside by music group members themselves. Following single’s discharge the quartet transferred from their previously sound, instead getting an instrumental group (with Carli on saxophone) known for playing solely original material, frequently in the form of expanded live jams. While Special Cherry’s new path gained admiration from various other area music artists, their refusal to stick to the cover-band mentality widespread among clubowners dropped them countless gigs, and in just a calendar year they disbanded.
