Christina Courtin

A graduate from the Juilliard College in NEW YORK, Christina Courtin occupies the center ground between modern folk, vocal jazz, and alternative pop/rock and roll. THE BRAND NEW York native began monitoring violin at 3 years outdated, and her quick mastery from the instrument resulted in a pastime in performing, songwriting, and executing. After enrolling on the Juilliard College, she started collaborating with famous brands Yo-Yo Ma, Dawn Upshaw, and Osvaldo Golijov, making use of her skills as both a vocalist and violinist. Upshaw’s longtime label, non-esuch Records, took a pastime in Courtin, who ultimately signed using the label and decamped to L.A. to record her debut record. The self-titled recording appeared in ’09 2009, featuring creation from Courtin and two of her bandmates.
