Sunshiners

Pan-cultural reggae collective the Sunshiners reunited saxophonist Philippe “Feal” Lerouzic and drummer Gaël “Chewinoo” Chosson, who previously collaborated within the likeminded French group Mister Gang. Throughout a 2001 tour prevent within the South Pacific isle of Vanuatu, Lerouzic and Chosson befriended regional performers Gero Iaviniau, John Kapala, Jake Moses, and Ben Siro. When Mister Gang break up immediately after, Lerouzic and Chosson came back to Vanuatu, reconnected making use of their fresh friends, and shaped the Sunshiners, a task focused on reggae-inspired interpretations of traditional British pop strikes spanning from David Bowie towards the Human Little league to U2. The Sunshiners’ self-titled debut LP adopted on Sony BMG in 2006.
