Eric Tutin (b. c.1914, near Childers, Queensland, Australia; piano, accordion, vocals) and Joan Martin (b. 1924, Queensland, Australia; electric guitar, vocals). An early on Australian nation music duo, shaped in Toowoomba in 1939, they proved helpful locally before shifting first to 4BK Brisbane and to Sydney. They produced their just recordings for Regal Zonophone Information on 30 June 1942, getting joined up with by fiddler Ted McMinn because they documented six original tracks, which proved extremely popular. In 1944, Martin made a decision without warning to stop the business enterprise to marry. She reputedly shifted to America however in the 60s, she was rumoured to become surviving in Victoria. Tutin initial played piano using a dance music group, before developing a nation quartet, including Aphra Lorraine, whom he wedded. Between 1946 and 1950, they toured thoroughly with Lester’s Follies, before developing their very own touring present, the Vanities. In 1952, they quit touring to perform a music store in Gympie, Queensland, from where they set up a favorite radio country present on 4GY calledTutin’s Melody Time, which demonstrated so well-known it ran for quite some time. They ultimately retired to Toowoomba. Never to become confused using the famous nation group from Chicago from the same name.
