Portland, ME’s Sunlight Gods in Exile formed in 2008 because of the bandmembers’ shared enthusiasm for raw-as-sushi, fuzz-laden, vintage hard rock and roll (think that: AC/DC, the 4 Horsemen, Novadriver, etc.), rendering it nearly unavoidable that they’d find yourself on Detroit’s likeminded Little Stone Records. Made up of vocalist and guitarist Adam Hitchcock, guitarist Tony D’Agostino (ex-Cortez), bassist JL (previously of Sea), and drummer Johnny Kennedy, Sunlight Gods in Exile documented their debut recording, Black Light, White colored Lines, at Mad Oak Studios in Allston, MA, and had been soon touring to get its launch in early 2009.
