Stand Before the Firing Squad

Valencia, CA’s Stand Prior to the Firing Squad test out a dizzying mélange of music designs — hardcore, grindcore, spazzcore, rock, math steel, even jazz — on the decidedly post-rock debut record, Sound Machine. Released in 2006 yourself of Hope Information, the album noticed bandmembers Collin Stafford (vocals), Derrick Cisneros (electric guitar), Nick Connell (bass), and Alex Onate (drums) breaking every guideline generally in most musical theory books at all they saw suit, or, because they defined it, via “some noises organized and unarranged with identical deliberativeness.”
