St. Louis Bessie

St. Louis Bessie was the stage name for Bessie Mae Smith, a St. Louis blues vocalist from the 1930s who also documented as Blue Belle, and down the road as perhaps Streamline Mae and Mae Belle Miller. On a few of her tracks, it is believed that the associated pianist is certainly Roosevelt Sykes. Additionally it is believed that she is at a romantic relationship with bluesman Big Joe Williams.
