Alternative country-rock device Slobberbone comprised singer/guitarist Brent Greatest, lead guitarist Jess Barr, bassist Brian Lane, and drummer Tony Harper. Shaped in Denton, TX, in early 1992, the group originally contacted their music using the same seriousness with that they select their name (a mention of a dog’s chew up plaything, incidentally), gigging within the pursuit of free of charge beer and small else; their first live display, actually, was even kept at a location liquor store. Nevertheless, in 1995 Slobberbone self-released an LP entitled Crow Container Pie that captured the eye of Doolittle Information creator Jeff Cole, who quickly authorized the music group; in 1997 they released their sophomore work, Barrel Chested. ALL YOU Thought Was Best Was Incorrect Today implemented on the brand new West imprint 3 years later on. After starting up with manufacturer Don Smith, the music group recorded Slippage within the springtime of 2002 for the summer discharge. The band performed its final present in Denton in 2004, and Greatest, Barr, and Harper continued to form an organization known as the Drams.
