An extreme steel supergroup using a pedigree covered in viscera, Scour may be the brainchild of Phil Anselmo (Pantera, Straight down), John Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed), Derek Engemann (Cattle Decapitation), Run after Fraser (Animosity, Decrepit Delivery), and Jesse Schobel (Solid Purpose, Cast the Rock). Created in 2015, the band’s punishing mixture of dark metallic, grindcore, and thrash produced its debut using the ferocious solitary “Dispatched.” The band’s eponymous debut EP, released via Anselmo’s Housecore label, decreased in 2016.
