Scorched Earth

The Uk trio Scorched Earth was formed by veterans of what their own PR describes as “London’s heavy stoner rock scene.” Guitarist Randy Kyser and bassist Chuck Kowalski revived some tunes they’d created in 1969, got Jay Pharoah-Curd on drums, and documented the Given to YOUR MIND album for launch in the first 2000s. Commensurate with many tasks around the Rubric/Woronzow axis, the music is usually heavy, sometimes meandering, blues-psychedelic rock and roll with massive debt to blues-psychedelic jamming from the past due ’60s and early ’70s.
