Despite the fact that their native Chapel Hill, NC, continues to be renowned because of its indie upbringing of Superchunk, the Scaries revealed a poppier, even more aggressive influence. By firmly taking a cue from famous brands the Descendants, Life time, and Jawbreaker, the lineup of Matt (electric guitar/vocals), Matt (drums), Mike (electric guitar), and Costs (bass) would to push out a couple of dispersed singles beneath the Scaries moniker before Deceased Ant Farm Information released their initial full-length, Over You, in 1997. Pursuing one U.S. tour and 3 years, their second record, Wishing ONE FINAL TIME, arrived in 2000 with some help from Path 14 Records.
