Sawt el Atlas

Sawt El Atlas (Arabic for tone of voice from the atlas, a mountain array in central Morocco) is really a ten-piece strap that combines a hodgepodge of designs — Arabic, rai, reggae, funk, and Latin rhythms. The multi-member group features two models of three brothers and it is fronted by performers Kamel and Mounir. Once the group 1st came collectively in the past due ’80s within the French town of Blois, the majority of its people were only teens or even young. Immediately after, Sawt Un Atlas started to tour throughout European countries, opening for famous brands Khaled, Cheb Mami, Youssou N’Dour, and Natacha Atlas. 1996 noticed the release of the debut documenting, Generaliser, while their sophomore work, Donia, was released three years later on (the latter documented equally both in Paris and Cairo). With like becoming the central subject matter of all of Sawt Un Atlas’ compositions, the music contains lyrics both in Arabic and French.
