Satyn’s Children

Houston-based band having a awesome, provocative name and a audio built around a nice, jangling 12-string guitar, like the Byrds, except they performed harder and their drummer was certainly kicking the hell away of his kit. Satyn’s Children’s line-up included an organist who also could dominate the group’s audio on “Change Me Aside,” which includes much more of the garage punk advantage, like the Music Machine at their heaviest. The harmonies, predicated on the documented evidence (a set of demos cut for Ocean Ell Information), weren’t very much, but these males almost composed for this in excitement. “MUST I Cry” vaguely resembles the Searchers’ “What Possess The Done towards the Rain.”
