Satanic Slaughter

Known because of its obsession with Satanism as well as the occult, Satanic Slaughter was a short-lived Swedish loss of life metal/black metal strap that evolved in to the better-known Witchery. The blistering, ferocious Satanic Slaughter was shaped in Sweden within the middle-’90s, when founder/bassist Stephan Dark became a member of forces with vocalist Toxine, drummer Mique, and two guitarists: Patrik Jensen (previously of Seance) and Richard Corpse. Unlike a number of the Scandinavian loss of life metal, black metallic, and grindcore rings that emerged within the 1990s, Satanic Slaughter didn’t favour an ultra-fast tempo every minute of your day; its tempos mixed, even though headbangers provided more than enough fast occasions to encourage the forming of mosh pits at its concert events. After documenting two similarly brutal albums using the music group — Satanic Slaughter and Property from the Unholy Souls, both on Necropolis — Stephan Dark parted firm using the four various other Swedes in 1997. Which was when Satanic Slaughter became Witchery and a fresh lineup was produced, one which included Toxine on business lead vocals, Jensen and Corpse on electric guitar, Mique on drums, and Sharlee D’Angelo (of Mercyful Destiny popularity) on bass rather than Dark. As Witchery, the brand new lineup produced its documenting debut for Necropolis with 1998’s Restless and Deceased and continued to provide many more albums for this label in the past due ’90s and early 2000s. In 2001, Necropolis reissued Satanic Slaughter and Property from the Unholy Souls back-to-back on the 25-track CD entitled THE FIRST Years: Dawn of Darkness.
