Taking a web page from Brian Eno’s production, My Bloody Valentine’s shoegazing guitars, as well as the lush pop/rock and roll of U2 and Radiohead, singer Dennis Cahlo released Saints & Lovers from his Brooklyn bedroom. After producing demo recordings from the materials, Cahlo — who got previously performed using the Realistics — performed his tracks for regional guitarist Scott Meola. Scott’s sibling, Doug, was enlisted to try out drums for the rising group, and Saints & Fans soon scored many residencies in NEW YORK. Sarah “Ultragrrrl” Lewitinn, owner from the Stolen Transmitting label, released the band’s Atmosphere EP in 2005, as well as the released the full-length work Stille 3 years later.
