The punk-pop trio Ruth Ruth came jointly in 1994, initially playing gigs free of charge at NY City’s Continental nightclub. Their periodic displays became a residency and by the next season, vocalist/bassist Chris Kennedy, guitarist Mike Lustig, and drummer Dave Snyder got signed an archive cope with American Recordings. Debut record Laughing Gallery, made by Ted Effectively (Fugazi, Women Against Young boys), premiered in Oct 1995 and accompanied by the EP Small Loss of life in 1996. Jumping to RCA, Ruth Ruth resurfaced in 1998 with HAVE YOU BEEN My Friend?
