Robert Wells

Robert Wells is most beneficial referred to as the lyricist who matched a private melody by Mel Tormé to generate the holiday basic “The Christmas Tune” — instantly recognizable by its starting picture: “Chestnuts roasting with an open up fire….” Actually, he wrote a lot more than 150 tracks with Tormé, including “Delivered to become Blue.” He was also nominated for three songwriting Oscars, for “You can State” (from 10), “State Good” (from Therefore Dear to My Heart), as well as the name tune of From Right here to Eternity. Wells also spent a lot of his period as the manufacturer and head article writer for The Dinah Shoreline Chevy Present, and earned four Emmy honours for this (plus two with Shirley MacLaine’s IF INDEED THEY Could Discover Me Today).
