Riff Raff

A poppy punk music group that formed in London, Britain in 1975, Riff Raff didn’t gain very much attention until they relocated to Peterborough through the first fifty percent of 1978. Because of continuous gigging around the region, the group became rather well-known, culminating within a support slot machine at a gig using the Stranglers. Made up of guitarist/vocalist Billy Bragg, bassist Ruan O’Lochlainn (ex-Bees Make Honey), guitarist Philipp Wigg, drummer Robert Handley, and keyboardist S.D.R. Gol’fish, Riff Raff debuted in June of 1978 on Chiswick using the I Wanna Be considered a Cosmonaut one. The follow-up one, Barking Park Street, implemented on Albion in 1979. In Oct of 1980, the music group released four singles independently label (Geezer) on a single time — New CITY, Kitten, Every Young lady, and GIRLS Know. The music group splintered immediately after that. Bragg spent a while in the Military, actually bought his way to avoid it, and began carrying out one-man shows beneath the name Spy V. Spy; ultimately performing and saving under his very own name, Bragg spearheaded the anti-folk motion and became a prolific and important singer/songwriter.
