Ricchi e Poveri

Italy’s Ricchi e Poveri (The Full and the indegent) was formed being a vocal music group in 1967 by Franco Gatti (given birth to on Oct 4, 1945, in Genoa), Angela Brambati (given birth to on Oct 20, 1949, in Genoa), Angelo Sotgiu (given birth to on Feb 22, 1947, in Trinita d’Agultu), and Marina Occhiena (given birth to on March 10, 1959, in Genoa). In 1970 and 1971, they gained second prizes on the Sanremo celebration with the music “La Prima Cosa Bella” and “Che Sar? ,” getting among Italy’s most widely used groups. Within the 1980s, after Occhiena acquired left the music group, the rest of the three shifted toward a far more light-weight, dance-oriented music. Among Sanremo’s regulars, Ricchi e Poveri finally gained first award in 1985 with “Se M’Innamoro.”
