Regina

Regina is a Finnish electro-pop trio that made it is critically acclaimed record debut in 2005 and strike the Top 10 in ’09 2009 using its third record. Founded in 2004 in Helsinki, Finland, the trio is normally made up of Iisa Pykäri (vocals), Mikko Pykäri (bass), and Mikko Rissanen (drums). Some early demonstration recordings resulted in a recording chance using the label Following Big Thing, which Regina produced their full-length record debut with Katso Maisemaa (2005). Although it was a humble commercial success, achieving number 31 over the Finnish albums graph, Katso Maisemaa was a preferred among critics. The record spawned many singles, included in this “Olisitko Sittenkin Halunnut Palata,” “Katso Maisemaa,” and “Minua Ollaan Vastassa.” The follow-up record Oi Miten Suuria Voimia! (2007) was a very much bigger achievement commercially, peaking at amount 13. Third record Puutarhatrilogia (2009), the trio’s initial release over the label Johanna Kustannus, broke in to the TOP and spawned the singles “Saanko Jäädä Yöksi?” and “Tapaa Minut Aamulla.”
