b. Hollis R. DeLaughter, 9 Feb 1939, near Bogalusa, Louisiana, USA. A singer-songwriter who discovered guitar as a kid, Lane relocated to Nashville in the first 60s, where he caused Justin Tubb so when a program musician. In 1967, he became frontman for Dottie Western’s music group and co-wrote with Western her 1968 strike ‘Country Woman’. In the first 70s, he documented for RCA Information and charted four small hits, the largest being ‘The Globe REQUIRES A Melody’ as well as the last, ‘It Was Like ALTHOUGH IT Lasted’, in 1972. Since that time he has continued to be active like a program musician and toured like a guitarist with Merle Haggard. A few of his tunes have been documented by top performers but he offers failed to accomplish further graph successes of his personal. However, Street was recognized in 1993 when he was inducted in to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Popularity.
