Banda Guasaveña

Focusing on banda sinaloense, Banda Guasaveña are most widely known for his or her longtime association with banda legend Valentin Elizalde. Founded in Guasave, Sinaloa, the group toured with Elizalde and performed on his albums; collectively they were referred to as Valentin Elizalde y Su Banda Guasaveña. Following a tragic murder of Elizalde in 2006, nevertheless, Banda Guasaveña had been forced to transport on without their longtime frontman. Respectfully changing their billing to Banda Guasaveña de Valentin Elizalde, they produced their full-length recording debut with Dedicado a Ti on Common Music Latino in 2006. The recording was a local Mexican feeling and spawned the strike single “Single un Sueño.” On Banda Guasaveña’s second recording, Mi Primo, Mi Amigo, Mi Hermano (2008), they continuing to spend homage to Elizalde.
