The Farewell Drifters

When the Farewell Drifters formed, the theory was to graft bluegrass instrumentation and energy to Beach Boys-styled studio room pop, or at least aim for the reason that direction, as well as the band has virtually performed that, putting them in the Fleet Foxes/Mumford & Sons/Avett Brothers neo-folk-rock corner from the stop, albeit with this bluegrass element still within. The group acquired its starting when lead vocalist Zach Bevill and mandolinist Joshua Britt uncovered a mutual like of ’60s pop and started writing and executing together, attracting Clayton Britt, Joshua’s sibling, along with violinist Christian Sedelmyer and bassist Dean Marold to circular items out after a proceed to Nashville. The Farewell Drifters created a sound that certainly wouldn’t have them kicked off a bluegrass stage, but with tracks which were melodically and lyrically organized more like traditional pop. The group released Yellowish Tag Mondays this year 2010 and adopted it with Echo Growth in 2011, both on Center Squeeze Information, before putting your signature on with Compass Information and liberating Tomorrow Forever in 2014.
