Re: Cooperation

Made up of American Adam H. Sidlo and Welshman David Cooper Orton, Re: Co-operation makes ambient instrumental music intensely structured around looping and guitars with ghostly maintain. The pair in fact met over the Looper’s Joy email list, and collaborated by mailing tapes backwards and forwards. Orton holders e-bowed and electrical guitars, loops, software program manipulation, and drum development, while Sidlo has guitars, regular and fretless bass, loops, and “atmospherics.” Their email collaboration eventually led to the 2003 record Transcollaboration. While a lot of the Compact disc is made around soft ambient electric guitar and looping, with apparent inspirations through the collaborations between Brian Eno and Robert Fripp, sometimes it also switches into more vigorous and edgier place, particularly on slashes that use designed drums.
