While surviving in Fresh Paltz, NY, songwriter Dean Engle began Quarterbacks as a minor punk-pop music group, using his fast devotional pop music on electric guitar while a pal backed him up using a drum package consisting of just a snare drum. This incarnation from the music group was short-lived, playing just a few cellar displays before fading out of view. Engle regrouped in 2012, getting the rhythm portion of Potential Restaino and Tom Christie in to the flip and expanding the greater stripped-down early edition from the music group right into a high-energy twee pop power trio playing at manic punk tempos.
