Prince Phillip Mitchell

A veteran composer, vocalist, guitarist, and pianist, Prince Phillip Mitchell’s origins are in vintage R&B, although he’s better known for spirit music. Mitchell sang with both Premiers as well as the Checkmates in the past due ’50s and early ’60s. He was also a dancer using the Bean Brothers in LA. Mitchell had strikes documented by Mel & Tim, Millie Jackson, Norman Connors, Joe Simon, and Candi Staton, but hasn’t got as much good fortune by himself like a vocalist.
