Pirulo Y La Tribu

Pirulo con La Tribu certainly are a 21st hundred years salsa and timba group who wed vintage style to contemporary creation. Their music combines Nuyorican salsa, Afro-Cuban child, and Puerto Rican bomba. Francisco “Pirulo” Rosada Rosario was created in 1977 in the San Jose Tank barrio in San Juan. His mom was Puerto Rican and his dad, Frankie Rosado, originally hailed from Brooklyn and performed flute through the great salsa explosion in the ’70s in NY. From a age, younger Rosario was subjected to the music of Dave Valentin, Ismael Rivera, Willie Colón, Héctor Lavoe, Irakere, Los Vehicle Vehicle, and Cortijo. At age ten, Rosario came into San Juan’s Totally free College of Music, learning oboe and bass, but his center belonged to percussion, which he majored in. During senior high school he began his first music group, Revolucion Latina. Upon graduation in 1995 at age 17, he proceeded to go straight to function, woodshedding like a percussionist with performers including Giovanni Hidalgo, Anthony Carrillo, Pupi Santiago, Edgar Abraham, Alfredo y Rumberos, and many more. Still in his teenagers, Rosario dropped both his parents and was obligated as the eldest male to look after his siblings. He eventually gained a scholarship towards the Berklee University of Music in Boston and went to the institution in 1997 and 1998. Upon graduation, Rosario became an itinerant program guy and touring musician. He journeyed the U.S., Canada, and Cuba, dealing with Bob Dylan, Maceo Parker, Either/Orchestra, and Entrain con Family members Ayala Folkloric Group. Rosario came back to Puerto Rico in 2004, a practiced participant, composer, and percussionist. He agreed upon a session agreement with Light Lion Information in San Juan, to try out, produce, compose, and sing. He made an appearance on Julio Volto’s En La Clara, and created Tego Calderón’s Latin Grammy-nomination Un Abayarde Contrataca. He also performed on albums by Noriega and Vico C. He offered as Calderon’s studio room and live drummer until 2012. From 2006, he created and offered as musical movie director for several huge tribute concerts including topics Chocolate Armenteros in the home in San Juan, as well as for Ricky Martin on the Latin Grammys.
