Athens, Georgia citizen Matthew Houck may be the sole person in Phosphorescent. Houck’s profession started in 2000 when he released the Hipolit recording beneath the name Fillup Shack. A tour of Britain and Spain adopted, even though the Western press drew evaluations to Bob Dylan and can Oldham, The London Evening Regular announced him “the most important American in his field since Kurt Cobain.” Houck’s 1st launch as Phosphorescent, entitled 100 Times or even more, made an appearance in 2003 within the Warm label. The 2004 EP The Excess weight of Airline flight was his last launch for the label, as the 2005 full-length Aw Arrive Aw Wry got on Misra. 2 yrs later the discharge of Pride started a relationship using the Deceased Oceans imprint. To Willie, Phosphorescent’s tribute to Willie Nelson, found its way to early 2009, accompanied by the all-new Here’s to Acquiring It Easy this year 2010. In 2013, after considerable worldwide touring, Houck released his 6th album, Muchacho, coming back somewhat towards the even more experimental textures of Satisfaction. An enormous tour to get Muchacho ended using a stint at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg, and recordings from the many nights were put together onto the band’s sprawling live record Live on the Music Hall, released in early 2015.
